Maintenance Technician

Pay: $31 – $36/hour+ DOE

Hours: 2^nd shift, 2 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. M-F

An established local manufacturer in the Sioux City area is hiring 2^nd shift Maintenance Technicians to join their growing team. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be accountable for the daily maintenance of equipment, perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and repair or fabricate parts for conveyor systems, pneumatic tools, and production machinery.
• Technical Inspection: Diagnose equipment issues using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers), hand/power tools, hoists, and engineering schematics.
• Operational Efficiency: Help minimize downtime by supporting production staff on routine maintenance and maintaining accurate maintenance records and shift handovers.
• Team Leadership & Support: Assist with shift communication, monitor team metrics, mediate shift issues, and support ongoing safety/GMP/HACCP compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Strong background in mechanical maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency using hand/power tools, precision testing instruments, and machine shop equipment.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving, math, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to shift needs and work collaboratively across teams.

 Pay & Benefits:

• $31 – $36/hour+ DOE
