Maintenance Technician

Pay: $25–$32/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance team in keeping industrial machinery and facility equipment operating safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who is comfortable using hand tools, assisting with repairs, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Assist experienced mechanics with equipment repairs, including disassembly and reassembly.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as lubricating machinery, greasing bearings, checking belts, inspecting components, and checking fluid levels.
• Use hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, and other maintenance equipment.
• Inspect machinery for wear, damage, or potential mechanical issues and report concerns to senior technicians.
• Maintain accurate work orders and document completed maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain inventory of replacement parts and supplies and notify supervisors when inventory levels are low.
• Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
• Assist with maintaining efficient operation of production equipment.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and industrial machinery.
• Previous maintenance, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify basic mechanical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a maintenance team.
• Ability to accurately complete maintenance documentation and work orders.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various positions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary.
• Ability to safely perform physical maintenance tasks in an industrial environment.
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
