Maintenance Techncian 

HTI is seeking an experienced General Maintenance Mechanic for a leading manufacturer of polyester resins, specialty polymers, and polyester staple fibers in Spartanburg, SC. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity for a safety-focused maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment and mechanical systems

• Complete scheduled and emergency maintenance safely and efficiently

• Use hand tools, power tools, testing instruments, and precision measuring devices

• Identify equipment problems and recommend preventive maintenance solutions

• Document repairs, labor, equipment history, and completed work orders in SAP

• Assist with root-cause analysis following equipment failures

• Identify the materials and replacement parts needed for repairs

• Follow all safe-work permit and job-safety-analysis procedures

• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing downtime and repair costs

• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment

• Work overtime, rotating coverage, and on-call assignments as required

What You Need

• Previous industrial maintenance or mechanical repair experience

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Experience with maintenance tools, testing instruments, and measuring equipment

• Ability to follow equipment manuals, work orders, and manufacturer specifications

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

• Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and environmental compliance

• Willingness to work overtime and on-call coverage when required

• SAP or computerized maintenance management system experience is a plus
