From troubleshooting repairs and completing preventive maintenance to preparing apartment homes for new residents, you'll work alongside a dedicated team to make a visible difference for our residents and communities.What You'll DoAs a Maintenance Technician, you'll help maintain our communities and provide quality service to our residents by:Completing resident service requests and troubleshooting repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, locks, and other building systems.Performing scheduled preventive maintenance and inspecting building systems to identify potential concerns.Preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, appliance installation, and other move-in readiness needs.Maintaining community grounds, common areas, mechanical spaces, and other property areas to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.Accurately completing work orders and documenting repairs, materials used, and follow-up needs using company technology.Safely using tools, equipment, PPE, and maintenance materials while following company safety procedures.Participating in the rotating on-call schedule and responding to after-hours emergencies, severe weather, and other property needs as required.Providing professional service to residents while collaborating with maintenance, property management, vendors, and other team members to support community operations.What We're Looking ForEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.1-3 years of apartment or building maintenance experience preferred.Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance preferred.EPA Section 608 Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance.Strong customer service and professional communication skills.Ability to prioritize multiple assignments with strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.Willingness to learn new skills and participate in ongoing training.Physical & Additional RequirementsAbility to perform hands-on maintenance work throughout apartment homes, buildings, grounds, and other areas of the community.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to participate in the rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies.Ability to assist with snow removal, ice mitigation, severe weather events, and other property needs as required.
