Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician supports production operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment. This role includes troubleshooting complex systems, leading maintenance activities, and mentoring junior technicians while ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: Support production operations and lead complex maintenance activities Mentor and train junior technicians to enhance team capability Perform preventive maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, alignments, and safety checks Troubleshoot and repair complex manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision Use advanced hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments Operate forklifts and lifting equipment such as hoists, cranes, and scissor lifts Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals Maintain facility systems including plumbing, electrical, construction, and rigging Service and overhaul components such as motors, pumps, cylinders, and valve assemblies Prioritize maintenance tasks and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns Complete documentation and paperwork accurately Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Work flexible shifts and overtime as required Required Skills: Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, and motion controls Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals Experience with machining, welding, fabrication, or related trades Basic computer skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Skills: Basic PLC coding and programming knowledge Experience in HVAC systems, compressed air, dust collection, and electrical distribution Education: 2 years of technical training or 5+ years of related maintenance experience Education: High School
