Hiring Opportunity: Streetsboro, OH

Our client is looking to hire a maintenance technician to join their team! Our client has been manufacturing different steel containers for over 60 years and isn't slowing down anytime soon!

The maintenance technician would be responsible for inspecting, operating, testing machinery to diagnose machine malfunctions.

Qualified candidates would need experience with working within a manufacturing facility, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, and troubleshooting.



Job Responsibilities:

- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
- Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.

Job Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 7 years in a manufacturing / plant maintenance.
- Steel stamping and forming- a plus.
- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatics
- Welding, fabricating, machining experience - a plus
- Experience in a trade school is a plus
- Knowledge and proficiency in trades of electrical - a plus
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts - a plus
- Ability to lift and handle 50 pounds for certain positions
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
