POSITION: General Maintenance Worker
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri; As assigned - willing to work a flexible schedule to cover vacations, sick days, etc.
STATUS: Hourly, Non-exempt, Full-time, Part-time.
PAY: $ Depending on experience.
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Director

DEFINITION AND ROLE:
A Maintenance team is vital to the work we do at Cascades. While they are professionally overlooking and repairing the building, the residents can rest peacefully knowing they are safe and sound in their homes. From assisting residents to keeping our property orderly, the maintenance crew is truly the backbone of Cascades!
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Complete work orders daily.
- Respond and communicate with residents requesting repairs.
- Handle all tools and equipment with care, and report to the Director of any discrepancies.
- Share on-call responsibilities.
- Keep any required licenses/certificates current.
- Follow procedures for accessing apartments.
- Work on turnovers and remodels as needed.
- Perform repairs on minor issues such as clogged drains, leaky spigots, patching holes, changing lightbulbs, etc.
- Maintain tools and equipment as required.
- Report and communicate safety issues, hazards, injuries, accidents, etc.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Follow all infection control procedures/ BBP practices as trained.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Language Skills: English
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must have a negative TB test and Drug Screen. Background check required.
- Physical Demands*: Sit, stand, or bend for extended periods at a time. Be able to lift 25 lbs without assistance. Be able to grasp, turn, or hold objects varying in size and weight.

The employee may frequently be exposed to wet conditions, fumes, and airborne particles. Occasionally, duties include working in outside conditions. The noise level on-site is moderate.
