Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Maintenance Service Technician to perform general maintenance, repairs, and mechanical service work in both shop and field environments. This position supports facility maintenance, cryogenic equipment repairs, tank maintenance, and various mechanical service projects while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has basic plumbing and electrical experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and enjoys a variety of hands-on maintenance responsibilities.
Required Experience & Skills
Basic plumbing and electrical experience required
Ability to run and bend conduit
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience with soldering is a plus
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Ability to travel to customer job sites as needed
Valid driver's license required (CDL not required)
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform general building and facility maintenance projects
Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs
Install, run, and bend conduit as required
Assist with maintenance and repair of cryogenic pumps and related equipment
Perform maintenance and repair work on tanks in both shop and field environments
Solder components and complete mechanical repairs as needed
Safely operate lifts and perform work at elevated heights
Work in confined spaces, including under tanks, when required
Travel to customer job sites to perform maintenance and service work
Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards
Assist with additional maintenance and service-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial maintenance or mechanical service experience
Experience with cryogenic systems or industrial equipment
Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple mechanical systems
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and reaching throughout the workday
Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces while wearing required PPE
Comfortable performing physically demanding work in both indoor and outdoor environments
Work Environment
Combination of shop, industrial facility, and customer field service environments
Exposure to mechanical equipment, tanks, pumps, electrical systems, and industrial machinery
Regular travel to local job sites as needed
