We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for a contract-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting equipment reliability, building maintenance, and production uptime across stamping presses, automation systems, and related plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform repair and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, presses, automation systems, and facility infrastructure
Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Operate forklifts and man lifts as needed
Support press setup activities and contribute to reducing setup time through teamwork and continuous improvement
Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices
Complete preventive maintenance tasks, corrective repairs, and equipment improvements per maintenance schedules
Accurately document downtime, work orders, and maintenance activities following established procedures
Support wastewater handling duties after required training
Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and waste reduction efforts
Collaborate with production and maintenance leadership to support operational goals
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of stamping presses, conveyors, CNC machines, washers, and automated equipment
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication schematics
Basic understanding of electrical circuits and diagrams
Welding experience (MIG and/or ARC) and torch cutting experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Familiarity with quality and compliance systems (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, or similar preferred)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs frequently
Extended periods of standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
Occasional ladder use for facility maintenance
Manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure
