Position Overview
The Aviation Maintenance Technician V is an advanced-level Aircraft Maintenance Technician responsible for performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and scheduled maintenance on company turboprop aircraft. This position supports safe and reliable flight operations by ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.
The successful candidate will work independently on routine and complex maintenance tasks while providing technical guidance to junior technicians and supporting continuous operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turboprop aircraft.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft systems and components.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
  • Complete aircraft inspections and determine airworthiness.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, avionics, and powerplant discrepancies.
  • Document maintenance actions accurately in aircraft maintenance records.
  • Return aircraft to service following approved maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Support aircraft reliability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist in planning maintenance activities and minimizing aircraft downtime.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate in shift turnover communications and maintenance planning.

Required Qualifications
Required
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining turboprop aircraft
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft maintenance procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical publications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a 14/14 rotational schedule
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Preferred
  • Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology or related technical field
  • Additional aircraft manufacturer training or certifications
  • Experience supporting corporate, charter, regional airline, military, or remote aviation operations
