Maintenance Technician

Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician - Virginia Beach

Ripley Heatwole Company is seeking skilled, motivated maintenance professionals to join our property management team. We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Thalia Landing Apartment community located in the Virginia Beach area.

If you are experienced in building maintenance, have strong technical skills, and are passionate about keeping residential communities running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and maintenance across all areas of the property including:
  • Plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, HVAC, and appliance repairs
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of buildings, laundry facilities, clubhouses, and grounds
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, coordinating subcontractors and in-house staff
• Respond to routine service requests and complete work orders in a timely manner
• Participate in the on-call rotation and handle after-hours emergency requests appropriately
• Maintain a rotating on-call schedule for the maintenance team
• Submit weekly property and budget reports as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in apartment maintenance or a similar role
• HVAC certification is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in a physically active role
