Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | will take straight 2nd or 3rd shift - will also take someone that wants to do rotating 2-2-3 12hr shifts

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on
Industrial Maintenance Technician to support packaging machinery and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, machine setup and calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment improvements that help maximize production uptime.
The ideal candidate has strong
mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience and can independently diagnose equipment problems, complete repairs, and verify that machinery is operating properly before returning it to production.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
Perform preventive maintenance on packaging machinery and production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Respond promptly to production maintenance calls and equipment breakdowns.
Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
Complete corrective repairs and verify proper equipment operation before returning machinery to service.
Perform machine tune-ups and adjustments during production runs.
Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend permanent solutions.
Machine Setup & Production Support
Set up, adjust, and calibrate production equipment during startups and changeovers.
Support production teams in maintaining equipment performance and product quality.
Monitor machinery for potential reliability or performance issues.
Recommend improvements that increase equipment uptime, efficiency, and production performance.
Communicate equipment status, repair progress, and anticipated downtime to production and maintenance leadership.
Parts, Tools & Documentation
Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and downtime records.
Document completed repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance activities.
Identify replacement parts and communicate purchasing or inventory needs.
Conduct cycle counts of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance materials and equipment.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
Perform maintenance activities using appropriate safe-work practices.
Participate in equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain clean and organized maintenance and production work areas.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
2+ years of hands-on pneumatic systems experience.
2+ years of electrical troubleshooting or maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to diagnose and repair production equipment independently.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with a strong focus on completing assigned work.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Production and Maintenance teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience maintaining packaging or automated production machinery.
Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience.
Experience with machine changeovers, calibration, and production startups.
Familiarity with root cause analysis and equipment reliability practices.
Experience managing maintenance parts or tool inventories.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will be a
hands-on industrial maintenance professional who is equally comfortable performing scheduled PMs and responding to an unexpected production breakdown. They should be able to work through mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems methodically, determine the root cause, make the repair, and confirm the equipment is ready for production.
This role is particularly well suited for someone who takes ownership of equipment issues, communicates effectively with production leadership, and looks beyond quick fixes to identify ways to improve long-term equipment reliability.
