Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, machinery, and related facility systems to ensure maximum production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility upkeep while adhering to company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience
- One (1) to three (3) years of maintenance, industrial, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations, measurements, and conversions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, servo controls, and industrial automation systems.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and measuring instruments, including meters and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and specification sheets.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Working knowledge of algebra and trigonometry as applied to maintenance and equipment repair.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to changing production needs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Team-oriented with the ability to interact effectively with coworkers across departments.

- Flexible and dependable, with a willingness to work extended hours when needed.
- Ability to work effectively in cold-temperature environments.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work for extended periods in refrigerated areas at approximately 30°F and freezer areas at approximately- 18°F.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to use hands, fingers, and limbs to operate tools, machinery, and material-handling equipment.
- Ability to read specifications, work instructions, and equipment documentation.
- Ability to move throughout production and warehouse areas safely and independently.
Working Conditions
- Regular exposure to refrigerated and freezer environments.
- Frequent exposure to wet conditions, moving machinery, and sharp objects.
- Work is performed in a high-noise manufacturing environment.
- May be required to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts based on operational needs.
- Compliance with all safety, sanitation, GMP, and food safety procedures is required.
Additional Requirements
- Must successfully pass a company drug screening and background check.
- All employees are responsible for reporting food safety, quality, and regulatory concerns to Quality Assurance (QA) or a supervisor immediately so corrective action can be taken.
- Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Compensation: $23.00 per hour
