From troubleshooting HVAC systems and repairing appliances to maintaining amenity spaces and curb appeal, you'll be a vital part of creating an exceptional living experience for our residents.Working closely with the Property Manager and fellow team members, you'll help preserve the quality, appearance, and functionality of the community while delivering responsive, professional service.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESManage the repair and replacement of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, appliances, and other building systemsComplete resident service requests promptly and professionallyManage work orders and apartment turnovers, including preparing vacant homes for new residentsCoordinate contractors for estimates and approved contracted workPerform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks, including grounds care, common area maintenance, trash and recycling management, inspections, and preventative maintenanceAssist in maintaining the community's luxury appearance and curb appealSupport operating budgets related to turnovers, repairs and maintenance, and capital improvement projectsReport accidents, emergencies, safety concerns, and property issues to management immediatelySupport additional properties within the assigned area as neededParticipate in the on-call rotation schedule and respond to emergency maintenance requestsDemonstrate and uphold the Oakbrook Values in every interactionPerform all other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESExperience in residential property maintenance or a related field preferredComprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, construction, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance practicesAbility to diagnose issues and implement effective solutionsStrong organizational and time management skillsExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, coworkers, vendors, and managementAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionCommitment to providing outstanding customer serviceEPA Certification preferredExperience in multifamily housing maintenance is a plusBASIC REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED requiredVocational, technical, or trade school certifications preferredMust provide personal hand tools necessary for the positionValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to participate in an on-call rotation scheduleWHY OAKBROOK?We have been proudly serving the Midwest since 1987.
