- 2+ years of experience repairing fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, construction equipment, or similar machinery.
- Experience working on hydraulic, electrical, diesel, gasoline, and mechanical systems.
- Comfortable using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Ability to operate trucks, forklifts, lifts, and various types of construction equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers, and small engines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, transmission, steering, and engine-related issues.
- Complete safety inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Perform welding and light fabrication as needed to support repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and repair documentation.
- Recommend cost-effective repair solutions and replacement strategies.
- Communicate equipment status and repair timelines with internal teams.
- Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Assist with other maintenance and equipment-related projects as needed.
We're seeking an experienced Equipment Technician / Mechanic to maintain and repair our client's fleet of vehicles, heavy equipment, and small engines that support construction projects across the country. This is a hands-on position offering a wide variety of work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and working on different types of equipment rather than repetitive maintenance.
