Maintenance Technician – Night Shift (12-Hour Shifts)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our food manufacturing facility in Yadkinville, North Carolina. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production and facility equipment during 12-hour night shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to minimize downtime and support plant operations.
  • Plan and implement installation, modification, and repair of plant equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation
  • Diagnose problems and remove defective parts by dismantling devices
  • Adjust functional parts and control instruments using hand tools and precision measuring equipment
  • Support production teams by communicating preventive maintenance techniques and best practices
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and instrumentation
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventory by monitoring stock levels
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing maintenance data and trends
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following all safety policies, regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Required Experience, Skills & Education
  • 3–5 years of general maintenance experience in a commercial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Solid math and measurement skills
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC drives
  • PLC experience preferred
  • Certified or trained in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Strong reading comprehension and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to identify equipment issues and respond effectively

  • Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends or holidays as scheduled
