Maintenance Trainer

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for the coordination of all training within Maintenance as assigned, including co-facilitating the training of Team Members using approved job skills modules, as well as assisting in implementation of all Freeman Group course modules in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by PRC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates the training of Team Members in Lock Out Tag Out and MSDS/Right to Know in accordance with federal guidelines.
• Assists Engineers and other Team Members as required.
• Conducts training audits and provides formal feedback to Instructors and Sponsors about job skills training on a regular basis.
• Facilitates or co-facilitates the training of Team Members with Certified Instructors in designated departments, using the approved Job Skills modules.
• Coordinates the scheduling of all Team Members and Certified Instructors for designated departments, and coordinates with department staff.
• Maintains current and accurate records in an electronic format for Team Members in assigned areas of responsibility, showing attendance and successful completion of all job skills training and other training modules.
• Assures maintenance of accurate training program materials inventories for appropriate job skill areas.
• Other duties as assigned

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position has supervisory responsibilities that include hiring/coaching including up to terminations, corrective actions, Team Member relations, and mentoring. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Must have three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: The position requires the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. The position also requires the ability to write simple correspondence. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other Team Members of the organization is required as well.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The position also requires the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: The position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. The position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.
• Must be certified in the Freeman Group Train the Trainer Program (Telehandler, Aerial Lift, Forklift), experienced in Lock Out Tag Out and MSDS/Right to Know training modules.
• Must be certified in: The Rules & Regulations of Workplace Safety, Cal/OSHA compliance, Confined Space Entry (OSHA 2265), OSHA Standards for General Industry (OSHA 511), Haz Woper, Fire Extinguisher, Hazardous Communication.
• Valid California Driver’s License.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Ability to use, distinguish, and know the use of all maintenance tools.
• Ability to communicate with all Team Members and management personnel.
• Good organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
• Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
• Must be able to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks.
• The ability to climb a 12-foot ladder.
• The ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
