Pay Range: $21.50 - $23.50 Depending on experience plus $2.00 per hour shift differential.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Utility Operator will be responsible for maintaining plant grounds and facilities.
The ideal candidate will perform various tasks including the upkeep of facility buildings and grounds and basic maintenance.
Position Responsibilities
- Communicate with Maintenance Manager to order supplies when needed.
- Change water and maintain sprinkler field as needed.
- Oversee down season painting, as assigned by Maintenance Manager. Order paint and paint supplies as needed with receiving clerk.
- Perform other duties around plant as needed i.e.: crush drums, spray/pull weeds, sweep skins.
- Replace/ repair door closure/ seals as needed
- Organize yard/ bone yard as needed
- Fill metal bin
- Bale cardboard as needed
- Replace lights in plant as needed. Keep inventory of spares.
- General clean up and organization of various areas of plant
- Wear and use all assigned personal protective equipment and wear appropriate work shoes (gloves, eye protection, ear plugs and steel toe footwear/nonslip).
- Comply with all Olam policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- This position is not limited to those duties in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or deleted to meet the business needs of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Must be able to acceptably communicate in the English language.
- Have the ability, and willingness to work in other departments as needed.
- Be able to communicate in English.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Able to bend, climb, lift, and stoop in order to perform job duties.
- Capable of lifting 75 + lbs. consistently throughout a shift.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and department Leads.
- Ability to work night shifts and overtime if required.
- Ability to work in a dusty, fast paced, and noisy production line environment.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to wear and use all assigned personal protective equipment (hard hat, gloves, eye protection, ear plugs and steel toe footwear/nonslip, etc.)
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
- Successful completion of:
Powered Industrial Truck Certification
Arial Lift/ Fall Protection Certification
