The City of Dublin is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker position on the Utilities/Sewer Crew within the Division of Engineering. Successful candidates must be available to work 1st shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and be available to work, days, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
This position is open to current members of the United Steel Workers (USW) bargaining unit as well as internal and external applicants. All interested candidates should submit an online application in order to be considered. Per the collective bargaining agreement, preference will be given to qualified bargaining unit employees. If this position is filled internally by a bargaining unit member, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the contract
Primary Focus:
Responsible for sewer/utility monitoring, inspection, cleaning, and replacement of sewer lines; performs maintenance and repair of work distribution lines; monitors, cleans, and repairs wastewater pump stations and related facilities; assist with fire hydrant maintenance, repair, and replacement activities.
Activities performed require working outdoors in all weather conditions, performing light to heavy manual labor and maintenance work.

Given the nature of this classifications duties/responsibilities, it has been designated as Non-Exempt under the governing Fair Labor Standards Act regulations and, therefore, is entitled to formal overtime compensation and/or formal compensatory time.
