Job Description

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Worker to support operations at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, FL.

 

This is a general maintenance role focused on keeping buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained across clinical, institutional, and office settings. On a daily basis, you will handle basic repairs, routine maintenance, and facility upkeep, working across a variety of trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.

 

This role is best suited for someone who is hands-on, reliable, and comfortable handling a wide range of maintenance tasks in a structured environment. The position follows a Monday?Friday daytime schedule, with a rotational on-call requirement to support after-hours, weekends, and holiday needs.

  • Rotational on-call required for after-hours, weekends, and holidays

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs across buildings and grounds
  • Repair and maintain items such as doors, windows, fixtures, and basic equipment
  • Assist with light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
  • Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance checklists
  • Identify issues and report larger repair needs to leadership
  • Safely operate tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Respond to on-call needs as part of a rotating schedule

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of general maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures
  • Strong reliability, work ethic, and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a clinical and institutional environment
  • Valid driver?s license required
  • Ability to perform physical work including lifting, bending, and standing
  • This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
