Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Maintenance Worker II, a vital steward of our facilities, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Every day you will perform essential maintenance service and repairs across buildings, equipment, and grounds. This includes a diverse range of responsibilities from carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing work, to equipment maintenance and safety testing. Your commitment to excellence will shine through as you provide outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter, all while working with autonomy and minimal supervision.

• Performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, overhaul, and construction duties.
• Constructs and repairs various items (i.e., building woodwork, windows, ceiling tiles, walls/floors, cabinets, counter tops, doors, office furniture and chairs).
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and meets all applicable codes.
• Inspects and performs repairs on Life Safety components (i.e., fire/smoke wall, doors, exit corridors, exit stairs, & chute doors).
• Comprehensive understanding of equipment operation, building systems, emergency procedures, and the ability to successfully provide service as needed.
• Responsible for accurate and timely completion of documentation in Computer Maintenance Management System i.e., work orders, equipment, and area records.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED

• Two (2) to four (4) years of general maintenance experience

• Valid State Driver's License

• Strong communication skills: ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred

• Completion of a trade school program

• Technical degree in a facilities related field

• Journeyman Plumber License or certification, HVAC or Electrical also accepted
