Maintenance Worker

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. This essential role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation of our facilities. Duties

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical components to identify potential issues before failure.
• Perform repairs on appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment utilizing schematics and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions efficiently, utilizing diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.
• Assist with installation, upgrades, and construction projects related to facility infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and reporting.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex repair or installation projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance technician in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment repair.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration technology.
• Experience in construction or facility maintenance is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail and safety protocols.
