SUMMARY
To provide students with a safe, attractive, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs miscellaneous repairs and services as assigned.
Installs repairs and relocates heavy equipment as assigned.
Makes minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
Marks athletic field.
Repairs walls, roofs, and floors.
Repairs and varnishes wooden desks, chairs, tables, and other furniture.
Sets up sound and other equipment as required.
Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members, and vendors.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or G.E.D.
One year of experience in a maintenance-related field.
LICENSING
CERTIFICATIONS
Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card AZ IVP FPCC.
SKILL KNOWLEDGE
Read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety training manuals.
Write general correspondence and speak effectively with others.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms.
Apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.
ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in both the field and in an indoor office environment with moderate exposure to hazardous physical conditions such as mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibration, etc.
Moderate exposure to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, etc.
Moderate exposure to hazardous materials such as chemicals, blood, and other body fluids, and moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, movement restrictions, and intense noise.
