The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness, organization, functionality, and basic upkeep of all Agape facilities and grounds. This role combines general building maintenance with light repair responsibilities to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Task and Responsibilities:
Conduct routine walkthroughs of all Agape facilities (interior and exterior) to identify cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs.
Maintain daily facility waste disposal, and organization of all areas.
Perform light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, replacing light bulbs, and basic upkeep.
Ensure all buildings, equipment, and grounds are kept in safe and operational condition.
Set up and support facility needs for meetings, events, conferences, and program activities.
Assist with movement, setup, and organization of furniture, equipment, and supplies.
Support food service logistics when needed (e.g., transport carts, setup areas).
Coordinate removal and proper disposal of damaged, broken, or unwanted items.
Assist in receiving, transporting, and distributing donated items across facilities.
Maintain inventory of tools and materials.
Report major repair needs or safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
Assist in coordinating inspections and compliance requirements (fire safety, building inspections, etc.).
Ensure all work complies with company policies, Miami-Dade codes, and applicable regulations.
Complete required documentation (daily, weekly, and monthly reports).
Maintain clear communication with supervisor regarding task progress and facility needs.
Be available for emergency response, including hurricanes or other disasters, as required.
Participate in meetings, training, and in-service sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Previous experience in maintenance, janitorial, or facility support required.
Basic knowledge of general repairs and facility upkeep.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance required.
Active Driver License
