Maintenance Worker

TITLE:                        Maintenance Staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. MS Driver’s License
2. Prior experience in facility maintenance is essential
3. Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Salary and work year to be established by the School Board

REPORTS TO:                       Director of Maintenance

JOB GOALS:                         To ensure the safe operation and maintenance of school district equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:        Such duties as may be assigned, including but not limited to, the following:

1. Install, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components in proper working order throughout the District
2. Comply with all acceptable standards and codes set for the industry
3. Check, adjust, and make minor repairs to heating, cooling systems, and cafeteria equipment
4. Perform electrical repairs that include:  ballasts, switches, fuses, plugs, and gauges
5. Maintain all equipment assigned individually in a good and proper working condition
6. Follows all board policies and procedures
7. Maintains regular attendance and is punctual
8. Promotes the district’s vision, mission, and goals
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance

JOB EVALUATION:               Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel
