THE ROLE
Win is seeking a dependable problem solver and hands-on Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep, safety, and appearance of our shelter facilities. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and cleaning activities to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections throughout the facility and grounds.
Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces, including snow and ice removal.
Repair furniture, appliances, equipment, doors, locks, and other building components.
Complete minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and sheetrock repairs.
Conduct unit inspections and perform preventative maintenance activities.
Inspect, maintain, and replace smoke and carbon monoxide detectors as needed.
Assist with seasonal maintenance of heating and air conditioning units.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and complete additional duties as assigned.
WHO YOU WILL BE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience performing building maintenance, repairs, custodial services, or related work preferred.
Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry repairs.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs throughout the workday.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to work safely with cleaning products, maintenance materials, and other hazardous substances while using proper protective equipment.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
