    The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of routine and semi-skilled maintenance, repair, and custodial tasks to ensure buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role supports day-to-day facility operations and helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for staff, visitors, and customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Building & Equipment Maintenance

    • Performs routine rounds to identify and resolve/escalate issues.
    • Address plumbing including leaks, clogged drains, and fixture repairs.
    • Maintain and repair doors, locks, windows, flooring, furniture, painting, general building components, and other general repairs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities manager.

    General Facility Operations

    • Respond to daily maintenance tickets and urgent repair requests in a timely manner.
    • Set up and break down furniture, equipment, and spaces for meetings, events, or operational needs.
    • Assist with inventory management for maintenance supplies and equipment.
    • Work with outside vendors or contractors as needed for specialized repairs.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility, tools, and equipment.
    • Follow all OSHA, local codes, and organizational safety guidelines.
    • Identify potential hazards and report or address them promptly.
    • Support emergency response efforts, including snow/ice removal, storm prep, or facility shutdowns.
    • Follow all company safety procedures and safety requirements.
