Maintenance Worker

Mel’s Services is accepting applications for a full-time maintenance worker. This position performs a variety of duties in maintenance and repair of the city’s infrastructure and facilities. Applicant should have a good mechanical aptitude and willing to perform many different job functions to support year round maintenance on the cities infrastructure. Typical jobs will include snowplowing, grass cutting, grooming of trails and general maintenance of recreational parks and facilities.

Required Qualifications:

High school Diploma and two years of equivalent education and or experience, valid class B driver’s license and ability to perform maintenance and repair on streets, storm sewers, buildings, parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, trails, recreational facilities, vehicles, machinery and other equipment.

• High School Diploma and two years of equivalent education/experience

• Class B or Higher driver’s license or ability to achieve within 3 months of employment

• Ability to operate snowplows and work nontraditional hours during winter months

• Ability to operate all types of equipment to maintain the following: Streets, Storm sewers, Buildings, Parks, Playgrounds, Athletic fields, Trails

• Background check and D.O.T. drug testings are required.

• A Clean driving record is required all through employment.
