Maintenance Worker

Johnson Service Group is looking for a Maintenance Worker for our client in San Jose. This person will perform a variety of maintenance and construction work for flood protection and raw water distribution facilities. This position will primarily support dams, recharge facilities, and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, repair, and general field work.
• Support maintenance of water distribution facilities, dams, recharge facilities, and pipelines.
• Operate hand and power tools and related equipment.
• Perform labor-intensive outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.

Experience: Two (2) years of construction or field maintenance experience, including basic apprentice-level construction knowledge related to water distribution facilities.

License: Valid California Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.

Additional Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors and in the elements, safely use tools and equipment, and follow written and verbal instructions.

6 Month Contract- $32.43/hr.
