Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No
Work Schedule: Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Hours: 4:00pm to 12:00am, with weekend and holiday rotation.
Summary:
Maintains facility, equipment and grounds in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Federal, State standards, guidelines and regulations, facility established policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid NY State driver's license preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years' experience in building and maintenance preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Have working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills, and other general maintenance areas
- Ability to use various power tools
- Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non-verbal communication
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must possess basic math skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, heavy lifting up to 40 pounds
- Must have sufficient dexterity to handle equipment efficiently and safely
- May work in cramped areas
- May be exposed to hazards from electrical, mechanical and power equipment
- Driving may be required
- Required to be on call on a rotating schedule
ENVIRONMENT
- Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions
- Exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials
- Subject to environmental temperature extremes
