Under the general direction of the General Manager, Division Manager, and Field Supervisor, you will learn the fundamentals related to routine maintenance work for the City. The Maintenance Trainee will assist the maintenance crews in routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed-eating, and fertilizing lawns, and routine landscaping; weeding and cleaning of flower and shrub beds, litter control, edging and cleaning of walks; and performing other related tasks as required.
You will assist in the operation of landscaping maintenance equipment such as walk-behind or push-type mowers, weed-eaters, backpack blowers, and edgers.
