As a Major Project Scheduler, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping some of the most exciting and innovative experiences at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. In this dynamic position, you will create and maintain comprehensive project schedules for high-profile initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication across all teams involved. You’ll have the opportunity to drive projects forward by developing integrated schedules that include every discipline, contractor, and client activity—making you an essential partner in turning creative visions into reality. By working closely with diverse project management teams, you’ll review contractor baseline schedules, validate key details such as durations and resource allocation, and ensure the project stays on track every step of the way. This is a Full-Time role


What You Will Do


+ Build/develop project schedules in partnership with project management team.

+ Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project objectives.

+ Create baseline schedules and work plans, including detailed sequence of tasks, durations and milestones for complete project.

+ Regularly update project schedules based upon field progress while tracking actual start/finish dates.

+ Determine the critical path and analyze the impact of delays.

+ Drive accurate schedule information and reporting.

+ Identify potential scheduling conflicts early and develop mitigation strategies.

+ Lead project team in strategic planning/scheduling sessions.

+ Develop construction schedules for complex major attraction projects.

+ Analyze contractor time extension requests, schedule impacts of Directives, and Change Orders.

+ Build and maintain key relationships with core team members and clients.

+ Influence partners to make decisions involving their area of responsibility.

+ Lead pull planning sessions with project team, contractors and partners.


Required Qualifications & Skills


+ Possess comprehensive expertise in construction sequencing and trade operations.

+ 8+ years of scheduling highly integrated construction projects with preferred experience in major theme park attractions.

+ Exhibited exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal communication.

+ Proficient in schedule analysis.

+ Proficient in cost and resource-loaded scheduling.

+ Experience using construction scheduling software (P3, P5, P6).

+ Experience in managing multiple construction schedules.


Education


+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction- Preferred


The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $132,600 to $161,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
