Key Job Elements
  • Provide critical analysis required to manage competing priorities in consumer and producer departments
  • Develop strategies to ensure work center and resource optimization required to meet schedule
  • Coordination with external vendors to meet Production requirements through the processing of outside OSPs
  • Coordination of parallel builds with other General Dynamics Production facilities
  • Understanding of tools and resources available to facilitate the resolution of constraints
  • Develop and integrate new tools and processes to improve efficiency to support Production
  • Strong understanding of planning and forecasting required to validate and effectively communicate demand requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet diverse customer requirements
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports as required
  • Proactively communicate critical shortages to internal stakeholders and collaborate on solutions and contingency plans
  • Empower customers with timely, accurate information to support informed decision-making
  • Mitigate and provide direction to unionized workforce regarding demand and material discrepancies
  • Support inventory management across both in-house and third-party logistics partners
  • Maintain seamless communication with PMC, Production and SCM Teams
  • Develop and maintain desktop procedures
 
Required Qualifications
  • University degree or college diploma, preferably in Materials & Operations Management or Business 
  • 3 to 5 years previous planning experience 
  • MRP experience 
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, to multi-task, and take initiative, when required 
  • Demonstrated high level of communication and teamwork skills 
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills 
 
 
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience with Oracle 
  • APICS certification or working towards it
