Make Ready/ Porter Technician- Student Housing - Denton, TX 76201
Pay - $18/hour
Job Description
- Complete unit turns and make‑ready tasks
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs
- Install hardware and troubleshoot appliances
- Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare units for move‑ins through cleaning, repairs, and touch‑ups
- Maintain cleanliness of community grounds, breezeways, and common areas
- Prepare vacant units by removing trash and assisting with light cleaning
- Perform light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks
- Replace fixtures, hardware, and basic components
- Maintain safe work practices and proper tool use
- Communicate progress with onsite staff
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Make Ready or Maintenance Technician
- General maintenance skills including:
- Basic electrical
- Basic plumbing
- Carpentry/hardware installation
- Appliance troubleshooting
- Must have own tools
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physical labor
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the onsite team
