Make Ready Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vacant units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Perform general maintenance duties, including drywall repair, painting, and plumbing fixes to prepare units for new residents.
• Clean and sanitize units, ensuring they meet company standards for cleanliness and safety before move-in.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or services as needed, making sure all work is completed timely and to standard.
• Assist in inventory management of supplies and materials needed for make-ready processes to maintain efficient workflow.
• Communicate effectively with property management regarding the status of make-ready units and any issues that arise during the process.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while on the job site, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in property maintenance, construction, or a similar role is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; must be thorough in completing tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between properties as needed.
