    Makery Specialist - Part Time

    A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE
    • Downloading patron 3D print files, setting up the 3D print software, and starting the 3D printer.
    • Helping a teacher determine the best method for putting their school logo on t shirts.
    • Troubleshooting a jammed button maker with a child and their caregiver.
    • Taking equipment reservations over the phone or via the online reservation system.
    • Preparing to teach a sewing class by organizing materials and testing out different stitches.
    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Assist and instruct patrons in the use of makerspace equipment and software
    • Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on makerspace equipment
    • Design and lead creative and maker classes
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • One year of customer service experience
    • Strong knowledge of computers, Office 365, and the internet
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
    • Familiarity with and an aptitude to learn creative software, including Adobe Illustrator, TinkerCAD, and Cricut Design Space
    • Familiarity with and an aptitude to learn makerspace equipment, including sewing machines, sublimation, Cricut machines, and heat presses
    HOURLY RATE & SCHEDULE
    • $18.34 - $22.93 per hour
    • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
    • Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Every third weekend:
      • Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
      • Sunday, 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
