Part-Time | Community Participation Support (CPS) – MALE DSP ONLY


Gifted Potentials is actively seeking an energetic, motivated male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a high-functioning adult with developmental disabilities. This is a community-based, engagement-focused role centered around consistency, structure, and positive social interaction.


Service Location: Collegeville, PA
Strong preference for candidates living in Collegeville, Phoenixville, or nearby surrounding areas
(Phoenixville candidates encouraged to apply — commute must be reliable and consistent)


Fixed, Consistent Schedule (Non-Negotiable)


Days: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekly Total: 20 hours
Start Date: Immediate


This schedule is permanent and will not rotate or change. Reliability and punctuality are essential to the participant’s routine and success.

Requirements
  • Must live in or near Collegeville.
  • Must be available for all four scheduled days and times. No exceptions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Prior DSP, CNA, or relevant direct support experience preferred.
  • High energy, consistent presence, excellent communication, and a motivating attitude.
  • Familiarity with HCBS waiver standards, HIPAA, and person-centered care.
Due to the participant’s preferences, we are specifically seeking a male DSP for this role.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one Community Participation Support (CPS) in accordance with ODP guidance.
  • Support employment-related activities alongside a Job Coach (OVR).
  • Accompany the participant to flea markets, stores, fitness/dance classes, and other recreational venues.
  • Encourage socialization with friends and family.
  • Promote routine, motivation, confidence, and inclusion through engaging interactions.
  • Ensure safety and support within all community environments.
  • Use trauma-informed and person-centered support approaches.
  • Document services daily and communicate with the supervisory team.
