Connected Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Part-Time Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) to join one of our trusted healthcare partners in Salinas, California. Position Overview
The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality breast imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate diagnostic results. This part-time role offers flexibility while maintaining a meaningful impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Ensure high-quality images for accurate interpretation by radiologists
- Prepare and position patients while providing clear instructions and compassionate care
- Maintain patient records and imaging documentation accurately
- Follow radiation safety standards and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members
- Inspect and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Provide patient education and address concerns regarding procedures
- Utilize Hologic Dimension 3D mammography equipment
- Perform procedures using a prone stereotactic table
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography required
- ARRT Mammography certification required
- California state licensure required or eligibility
- CPR/BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in mammography or womens imaging preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience with Hologic Dimension 3D systems and stereotactic procedures preferred
- Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety
