Job Summary and Qualifications

Mammography Technician (Mammographer)

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to performroutine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. As a Mammographer, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved institution
• Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (M)
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Mammography Technician preferred
• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
