Job Summary:

The Mammographer Per Diem performs and produces/prepares evaluation documentation of diagnostic radiography and mammography.  Assists in transporting patients to radiographic room as well as preparing and maintaining radiographic room and work area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
Demonstrates expertise in use and development of film.
Prepares reports and documentation as required or directed.
Transports patients to radiographic room and assists patients during X-ray process.
Maintains equipment and work areas.
Assists in various support activities for department.
Enhances professional growth.
Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

High School graduate, completion of AMA approved X-ray training school, and current registry with Radiography and Mammography through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologist (A.A.R.T.) required. Must have and maintain current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island.  Must be proficient in the English language.
