Responsibilities


Under the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging the Mammo Tech Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the tasks of Women's Diagnostic Imaging which includes Ultrasound Mammography Stereotactic Breast Biopsy and Breast MRI. Duties will include scheduling exams and procedures preparing exams for physicians maintaining the Mammogram Reporting System tracking system and compiling statistics for the Annual Medical Audit. Directs the staff in their work assignments troubleshoots equipment problems and acts as a resource for technical or clinical information. Provides training to other staff on equipment operation and new procedures/protocols. Works with management team to maintain manuals. Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:


+ 3 years of recent relevant experience

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ ARRT - American Registered Radiologic Technologist

+ CRT

+ BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider *AHA


Preferred Qualifications:


+ 5 years of recent relevant experience.*Stereotactic Biopsies*Wire Locs*ACR/MQSA

+ ARRT (M) - American Registered Radiologic Technologist Mammo

+ Knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and pathology.

+ Complete understanding of Ultrasound methodology, equipment and radiopharmaceuticals is required.

+ Knowledge of technological advancements, equipment, sophisticated diagnostic imaging equipment for all services, and other state-of-the art departmental specific systems is desirable.

+ Team leadership and organizational skills are required.

+ An ability to prioritize multiple demands is critical. Written and oral communication skills An ability to build teams as well as consensus is desirable. Effective interpersonal skills are required.

+ Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently.

+ Will maintain all technical skills in the area of certification and competent to perform all related duties as a Mammography technologist.

Pay Range

$44.18 - $65.71 /hour
