Strives to provide optimal patient care; performs various imaging procedures with a high degree of accuracy in positioning, exposure factors, safety, and radiation protection. Upholds the standard of practice for registered technologists and certified mammographers.
Qualifications
: Required Education: High School Diploma/GED -AND- Vocational Training in Radiology Technology. Preferred Education: Associate's Degree. Necessary Skills: 1. Competence in written and verbal communication. 2. Must demonstrate competence in development and treatment needs of the population usually served. 3. Knowledge of computer technology and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems. Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) General certification Mammography Certification required within 12 months from the date of hire Florida State License (Radiographer) BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
