Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment at a hospital in Falmouth, MA. In this role, you will perform diagnostic and screening mammographic exams and bone density studies to assist in detecting breast abnormalities and supporting patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography (M).
Active Massachusetts state license for Radiology and Mammography that meets federal and state requirements and ACR continuing experience and education standards for Mammography.
Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mammography, including current experience performing 3D Digital Breast Tomosynthesis.
Completion of required training: 8 hours didactic/clinical training in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D) and 8 hours didactic/clinical training in Full-Field Digital Mammography (2D) meeting MQSA and ACR standards.
Ability to perform DEXA/Bone Density exams and maintain proficiency in spine, hip, and forearm scans.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program.
Proficiency with MQSA and ACR quality control procedures, PACS operations, image acquisition, and data management.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Preferred: ARRT Bone Density Operator advanced-level certification.
Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammography, stereotactic procedures, Digital Breast Tomosynthesis, DEXA scans, MQSA/ACR quality control and documentation, PACS processing, and patient education and safety.
