Job Title: Mammography Technician

Location: Cumming, GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8-hour shifts)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography experience within the specialty.
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
• Required Certifications:
  • AHA BLS
  • ARRT Mammography Certification

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients while ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety throughout imaging procedures.
• Assist radiologists with breast biopsy procedures and other interventional breast imaging services.
• Perform quality control checks on mammography equipment to ensure optimal image quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance guidelines.
• Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.

• Unit: 798F Breast Care Imaging – Mammography
• Outpatient imaging services include:
  • Mammography
  • Breast Ultrasound
  • Bone Density (DEXA)
  • Breast biopsy procedures

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Monday through Friday day shift in an outpatient breast imaging center.
