Mammography Technician
Join our dynamic team as a Mammography Technician and make a meaningful impact in breast imaging care. This pivotal role involves providing high-quality outpatient mammography services such as breast ultrasounds, bone density scans, mammograms, and breast biopsy procedures. Your expertise will help ensure early detection and diagnosis, contributing directly to patient health and well-being.
We seek motivated professionals who possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a Mammography Technician, you will be responsible for performing and documenting at least 200 mammography exams within the last 24 months, maintaining all necessary certifications, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in breast imaging or related specialty
- ARRT Certification and AHA BLS certification
- Official documentation of at least 200 completed mammography exams in the last 24 months (signed by leadership)
- Proficiency with Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems
- Demonstrated competency in Breast Ultrasound, Bone Density, Mammograms, and Biopsy procedures
- Completed 40 hours of mammography training, including 8 hours of digital training and 8 hours of 3D/tomo training
- Documented initial 25 supervised exams
- Strong attention to detail and patient care quality
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications in radiology or breast imaging
- Experience with advanced imaging technologies
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of hospital or outpatient imaging workflows
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certification by ARRT in Mammography
- Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience in breast imaging
- Recent completion of required CEUs (15 in the last 3 years)
Other Requirements:
- Must adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local laws
- Ability to travel to various outpatient imaging sites if required
- Valid license and certification documentation
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $55.46, with opportunities for growth and professional enrichment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, starting on May 11, 2026, for a 13-week assignment.
