Mammography Technician

Job Summary

Join our team at Morristown Hospital Rippel Breast Center in Morristown, NJ. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to perform mammographic procedures according to state, federal, and department standards. This full-time position offers a Monday - Friday schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility to fill day shifts.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic examinations, bone density, and breast biopsy procedures with high accuracy.
• Practice universal precautions and aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and obtain a minimum of two patient identification factors.
• Maintain a respectful relationship with staff and patients and assess their physical and psychological needs.
• Explain procedures clearly and respect cultural differences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department equipment and complete computer functions accurately.
• Maintain required licensure and CME's per MQSA standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper stocking of work area and equipment.
• Assist with training new team members or students.

Required Skills & Experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume team environment.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to learn new tasks quickly.
• NJ DEP X-ray License and ARRT Verified in Mammography.
• Up to date with 15 Current Mammography CE's and specific training in Stereotactic Biopsies.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• One year of experience in Mammography.
• Proficiency in Epic and Sectra PACS.
