    Description

    Virginia Physicians for Women (VPFW), Richmond's top OB/GYN practice for 4 years running, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated imaging professional who is passionate about women's health and values providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

    We are looking for a technologist who takes pride in delivering high-quality imaging services while helping patients feel comfortable, cared for, and informed throughout their experience. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, adaptable, and committed to clinical excellence.

    This position offers 32–40 hours per week with travel between practice locations as needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform breast imaging studies using proper positioning techniques in accordance with ACR/MQSA guidelines
    • Ensure adherence to radiation safety standards and imaging protocols
    • Produce and evaluate high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist interpretation
    • Serve as a compassionate liaison between patients and Radiologists, helping create a positive patient experience before, during, and after procedures
    • Maintain accurate patient records and uphold quality assurance standards
    • Support a patient-centered environment focused on comfort, dignity, and professionalism

    Qualifications

    • ARRT Certified
    • Registered in Mammography by ARRT
    • Current Virginia State License
    • Digital mammography and 3D tomosynthesis experience preferred
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
