Position Overview:

Anticipated Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with as-needed weekends (schedule is subject to change)

Dual Role/Floating: Technicians at this site have a unique responsibility, rotating between performing scans at the center and operating the Mobile Mammography Van.

Sign-on Bonus: Sign on bonus eligible, based on Sutter Health policy and available to external applicants.

Organizes effective orientation and training of clinical staff, facilitates effective professional relationships with physician user groups, and other customers and patients of the medical center. Performs mammographic exams and other related diagnostic procedures requiring advanced skills.

Job Description:

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Associate's or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
  • RHM-Radiology Mammography


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • One to two years related experience and/or training


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent knowledge of mammography, sterile technique, and basic patient monitoring.
  • Understands supplies used for core biopsy , localizations, and other related procedures.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra preferred.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standard ization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay Range is $63.30 to $79.42 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
