Position Overview
Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Per Diem Mammography Technologist to join the breast imaging team at UCSF Medical Center in Burlingame, California. In this role, you will perform high-quality mammography procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and adherence to established imaging protocols.
The Mammography Technologist will work closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional breast imaging services. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $174,000 to $194,000 annually based on experience, along with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and willing to support multiple UCSF locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology training program from an AMA-approved school.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography Certification.
- California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License.
- California Mammography Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Flexibility to rotate shifts and provide coverage at multiple UCSF Medical Center locations.
- Willingness to work at any UCSF imaging location as operational needs require.
Mammography Compliance Requirements
- Documentation of at least 40 hours of mammography-specific training (required for technologists certified after April 27, 1999).
- Proof of performing at least 200 mammography examinations within the previous 24 months.
- Documentation of at least 15 continuing education units (CEUs) in Mammography within the previous 36 months.
- Proof of MQSA-approved training, including:
- 8 hours of Digital Mammography training
- 8 hours of 3D Tomosynthesis training
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of Mammography experience for Senior-level consideration.
- More than five (5) years of Mammography experience for Principal-level consideration.
- Experience in high-volume breast imaging environments.
- Strong patient care, communication, and technical imaging skills.
