Travel Mammography Technologist
Location: Illinois — Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, and Chicago Metro.
Assignment Length: Temporary W-2 employee assignment, anticipated 13 weeks.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, full time day shift, approximately 40 hours/week; no routine weekends or on-call currently expected. Schedule may vary based on site operations, patient volume, and applicable law.
Start Date: Anticipated July 2026.
Pay Range: $65.00/hour, W-2, non-exempt. Overtime will be paid as required by applicable federal, Illinois, and local law.
Travel Support: Lodging, meal/incidental per diem, and mileage reimbursement are provided for eligible travel under VitalCheck's written travel and expense policy.
About the Role:
VitalCheck is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a temporary 13-week mobile screening assignment serving a professional workforce in Illinois.
The ideal candidate is independent, patient-focused, and experienced in delivering high-quality mammography services in a mobile setting. Candidates must already be fully credentialed and MQSA-qualified before starting this assignment and may not independently perform mammography services until VitalCheck and/or the applicable MQSA-certified facility has verified all required credentials, training, and documentation.
All mammography services will be performed only through an MQSA-certified/accredited facility or mobile unit and in accordance with applicable facility protocols.
Responsibilities:
This role does not include diagnosis, image interpretation, prescribing, determining medical necessity, or directing physician/radiologist clinical judgment.
Requirements:
This assignment cannot train, qualify, or document candidates into mammography eligibility. Candidates must be fully qualified before beginning the assignment.
MQSA Documentation Required

Preferred Experience
Mobile mammography experience.
Hologic 3D/tomosynthesis experience.
Assignment Locations
This role will support mobile screening sites across Illinois, subject to assignment needs and final scheduling:
Weeks 1–7: Springfield, IL
Weeks 8–11: Springfield / Sangamon County
Week 12: Champaign-Urbana
Week 13: Chicago Metro / Cook County
Travel Details:
• Pay rate is $65.00/hour on a W-2, non-exempt basis. Overtime will be paid as required by applicable federal, Illinois, and local law.
• Lodging is provided for eligible travel weeks under VitalCheck's written travel and expense policy.
• Meal/incidental per diem is provided for eligible travel days under VitalCheck's written travel and expense policy.
• Mileage reimbursement applies to authorized business travel between assigned sites and does not include normal commuting unless required by applicable law or policy.
Benefits and Other Compensation
This temporary W-2 assignment is not eligible for company-sponsored health, retirement, paid holiday, or company PTO benefits, except as required by applicable law or applicable benefit plan terms.
Employees are covered by workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, payroll tax withholding, overtime laws, and applicable paid-leave laws.
Paid leave will accrue and may be used in accordance with applicable Illinois, Cook County, or Chicago paid-leave law, depending on the employee's work location and hours worked.
